Liturgical and Ritual Issues

This research was presented as a paper to the Liturgical Sub-Committee of the dialogue between the Eastern Orthodox Church and the Oriental Orthodox Churches in their meeting in Athens, March 15-19, 1995. The paper is a trial of convergence between the two families of Orthodoxy. Although, the paper does not represent in every aspect the official view of the Coptic Orthodox Church, nevertheless, it is an excellent effort which opened several ways of discussion in the ongoing process of the dialogue. Theologians representing the Orthodox Church expressed their eagerness to publish this work in their Greek Church magazine. This book touches on several issues including the Divine Liturgy, ritual differences, fasting and many more.
